No download, no sign-up. Open pitch-studio-app.pages.dev in your browser and start straight away. Nothing is held back if you stay signed out: every feature works, and your tactics are saved on your device.
Your preparation adds up — that is why it is fast
What you enter once stays in the app. The next time you build a tactic, you do not type any of it again.
Player roster
Build the roster once; after that you just call it up. No retyping names, no retyping numbers.
Player groups
Keep a separate roster for each age group or squad and switch between them. Moving from the first team to the juniors never mixes them up.
Formation defaults
Shirt numbers, roles and the shape are remembered. One tap on "place" brings your usual line-up back exactly as it was.
Attacking and defending shapes Pro only
Keep one shape in possession and another out of possession, and swap between them instantly with a single icon.
These are account-wide settings, not settings inside one tactic. So from the second tactic onwards you are not building it — you are just picking. The preparation you did the first time becomes the speed you get every time after.
Change device, and the preparation comes with you
You do not need an account to start. Signed out, nothing is missing and your data stays on the device you are using. Sign in and device-to-device sync is added on top of that.
Phone, tablet and computer
Signed in to the same account, the tactics you have made open in the same state on any of your devices.
The preparation travels too
Roster, player groups and formation defaults belong to the account. Adding another device never means entering them again.
Editing works offline
A save is committed on the device first and sent once the connection comes back. A pitch with poor reception does not stop you.
A conflict keeps both sides
If two devices are edited at the same time and the versions disagree, neither one is discarded to make room for the other — both are kept, as separate tactics.
And on top of that
- Line of sight — show not only where a player is standing but where they are looking.
- Sight follows the ball — move the ball and the players turn to follow it automatically. You never correct them one by one.
- Animation — chain scenes together and play them back, so the movement is shown as movement.
- Substitutions and the bench — handle changes and bench places directly on the board.
- Roles from your history — a role you have used once can be picked from the list again.
- 11, 8 and 5-a-side; full pitch or half pitch — set it to the format you actually coach.
- Drawing — arrows, lines, rectangles, ellipses, text and freehand.
- Export — a PNG image, and a tactics file you can open and edit again later.
Nothing gets in the way
Usability is not an adjective. It is this kind of detail, repeated.
- Editing a player is easy. Tap to select, tap again to edit.
- Your cursor stays put. If a change arrives from another device while you are typing a name, the focus does not jump out of the field.
- Stepping back one action is predictable. A resize, for example, is recorded once, when you let go of the slider. An action that changed nothing is not pushed onto the history.
- Delete works in either order. Press delete and then choose what to remove, or choose it first and then delete.
- Place one, or keep placing. Single placement and continuous placement are both there.

The interface is available in seven languages: Japanese, English, German, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese.

Pitch Studio is free to use, with an optional subscription and ads. The free version is not a trial. There is no time limit; you can carry on using it for free.

Reaching the limit deletes nothing. Everything you have made so far stays exactly where it is. Stopping Pro deletes nothing either, but the number of tactics you can open returns to the free allowance, and you choose which ones to keep using. Take Pro again and all of them are available as before.
Common questions
- Is it really free?
- Yes. There is nothing to download, no account to create and no time limit. The free version shows a banner ad and limits how much you can store.
- Do I have to sign in?
- No. Without an account your data is saved on the device you are using. If you do sign in, it syncs across the devices on that account.
- Does it work for youth football?
- Yes — 11, 8 and 5-a-side, on a full pitch or a half pitch.
- Can I get my tactics out of the app?
- You can export a PNG image, and a tactics file that can be opened and edited again.
- What happens if I stop paying for Pro?
- Pro stays available until the period you have paid for ends, then the free limits apply again. Nothing you created is deleted.
- Is there a phone app?
- Android is in closed testing and not publicly released; iOS is in preparation. The version anyone can use today is the web app.
